This flush CleanSpace door is manufactured to integrate directly with 2” (50mm) modular CleanSpace wall panels, creating a continuous, ledge-free interface on both sides of the wall system. Key integration features:
- Flush-to-panel installation
- Aluminum 6063 box extrusion frame
- RAL 5013 matte powder-coated finish
- Concealed fasteners
- No applied trim or surface raceways

The CleanSpace Aero FFU is a self-contained fan filter unit designed to deliver high-volume HEPA-filtered airflow for cleanrooms, pharmaceutical facilities, and controlled environments. Engineered for energy efficiency and low noise operation, this system provides consistent airflow performance while reducing operating costs compared to traditional ducted systems.
Designed for modular cleanroom ceiling integration, Aero FFU combines fan, filter, and control components into a single unit, simplifying installation and enabling flexible cleanroom design.
Engineered for High Efficiency Airflow Performance
Aero FFU delivers HEPA-filtered air with removal efficiency of 99.99% at 0.3 microns, maintaining low particulate levels within the controlled environment. The unit is designed to provide consistent airflow across the filter face, supporting ISO-classified cleanroom performance.
The system operates at low sound levels while reducing energy consumption by approximately 15 to 50 percent compared to conventional fan filter units.
Integrated Fan and Control System
Each Aero FFU includes a high-efficiency EC motor with integrated speed control, allowing precise adjustment of airflow to meet cleanroom requirements. Units can be controlled locally via onboard speed control or integrated into building automation systems using a 0–10 VDC control signal.
This flexibility allows for real-time airflow balancing and system optimization across the cleanroom.
HEPA Filtration and Seal Integrity
The Aero FFU utilizes gel-seal HEPA filters with a knife-edge housing interface to ensure a positive seal and prevent bypass. Room-side replaceable filters allow for maintenance without disturbing the ceiling system or upstream ductwork.

Welded Housing and Leak-Free Construction
All Aero FFU housings are fully welded to eliminate potential leak paths and maintain cleanroom integrity. Each unit is factory tested and certified leak-free in accordance with IEST-RP-CC034.
This construction ensures reliable performance in GMP-regulated and ISO-classified environments.
Airflow Control and Performance Options
Aero FFU units include integrated airflow control components such as adjustable dampers and optional equalization baffles to ensure uniform airflow distribution.
Typical configurations include 2x2 and 2x4 modules with airflow capacities ranging from approximately 300 to 830 CFM depending on configuration and filter type. Units are designed to operate with low wattage and sound levels, supporting efficient cleanroom operation.
Testing and Validation Features
Integrated aerosol sampling ports and optional aerosol injection systems allow for room-side testing and validation of filter performance. These features support standard cleanroom commissioning and ongoing certification procedures.
The system is designed to meet ASHRAE 170 requirements and includes compliance with NFPA 90A, UL 2043, and UL94 standards for air-handling and material performance.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Aero FFU units are designed for routine cleaning and long-term durability. The powder-coated finish is compatible with hospital-grade cleaning agents and disinfectants.
Quarter-turn fasteners and retained access components allow for straightforward maintenance and filter access without specialized tools.

The Aero FFU system includes an aluminum plenum with integrated knife-edge frame and a 304 stainless steel perforated face panel for uniform airflow distribution.
Standard configurations include 277V power supply, EC motor technology, and white powder-coated finishes for cleanroom compatibility. External insulation options and additional accessories are available to match project requirements.
